Description
Part of the Gen-III ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) the Level 3 Fleece Jacket Foliage Green is the primary insulation layer, worn under shell layers. Made of Polartec fleece - fuzzy on the outside and inside. While Polartec fleece is known for durability, these fleeces may have had a hard life but they will still keep you warm.
These jackets have been standard issue to US soldiers to fight the extreme cold. With excellent breathability, the Level III jacket dries quickly with increased warmth while maintaining lower bulk and increased durability than previous systems.

Sizing/Fit: Spacious fit as two layers are generally worn underneath as part of the ECWCS. Find your fleece size by measuring the circumference around your chest, just under the armpits. For more information, check out our sizing guide.

If you are ever caught out at night in the dark, and are looking for this jacket amongst your belongings.
It is easy to find in total darkness, as the feel of the texture will give it away, with the manufacturers label telling you the inside from out. A life saver when in a desperate situation.

I have three. One as new for going out in the town, the other two for around the house, either as one, or a double.
The two worn around the house or when gardening, are two different sizes.
The larger size, is worn over a next size down, say a size long over a regular, making it a really warm jacket and wind proof.
As I have discovered, ideal too, to be worn inside a sleeping bag, when it's extra cold.
In fact it can be worn underneath any type of clothing if you feel cold.
Washing the item is easy, as it will dry out within half an hour on a sunny day.
To close, highly recommended for durability, along with a good last lasting zip. Good value all round. Would never be without this jacket, as it folds down to a small size, and easily put into a day pack.

Yes it is a little short but I got the next size up and it is fine. Great quality and very warm. Was in as new condition, just needed a wash. Recommended, just get the right size.

Too short to wear. Bottom of jacket is 50mm above my belt. Also zipper is difficult to engage.

A Fanta garment, but I think that’s due to these not being popular or being hardly worn, they are pretty short in the body, the one I was sent was mint, but ended up too short and above the waist line so had to return.
Previous review on here they had same comment, so maybe I was sent the one they returned? Hard to say.
