Description

*Note* Most of our latest batch of packs come with 3 grey removable luggage straps, to the bags exterior. See last two pictures for example (blanket not included). These will be chosen at random.

These packs were originally designed to integrate with East German Y-straps as part of their webbing. These ones might not have the complete web belt and webbing system, but they do come with the Y-straps. These can be utilized to form a hasty stand alone pack (especially if you are willing to crimp the metal clips in place) or when paired with a second one they make for great saddle bags on a bicycle. Dual straps secure the top flap firmly in place with internal flaps to reduce any spillage.

Complete that East German collection or saddle your bicycle up with one of these neat Rain camo packs today!

Features:

  • Genuine East German Army Surplus
  • Removable Y-straps included
  • Dual strap opening
  • Internal retention strap
  • Durable construction
  • Carry handle
  • Transparent name/ID sleeve

Surprisingly voluminous

This pack is surprisingly voluminous. The suspenders it comes with are a little useless though as in my experience they're too loose. I might be doing something wrong, but the straps that attach to the bottom of the bag keep falling off their hooks. Though I'm sure once I figure out how to properly fit it, it'll make a fine pack to complete my East German Battle Dress Uniform. Keep in mind you do need a belt around your navel in order to actually use it as a backpack.

Got two sets of suspenders.

Great bag, kind of (greasy?) but I bought suspenders as well and a belt but I didn't look close enough and I got 2 sets (one that i ordered and one that i got with the bag)

So if you're gonna buy east german stuff from this site and your getting suspenders and this bag remove the suspenders from your cart.

I will keep the second pair though so no need for a refund.

Good pack bad suspenders

Pack is nice and weatherproof, very good looking and holds a good amount of stuff. The synthetic leather straps makes holding sleeping gear and tarps easy but the suspenders aren’t amazing. It’s a little uncomfortable, and clipping on and adjusting to the belt is a pain. Good once you get it adjusted to you tho. I’d say a good purchase if you are looking for a sturdy pack

Pretty impressed

I bought this pack to give to my grandson to use in the wilderness survival course I’m giving him. I have been acquiring all the items that he’ll need for not only my class, but to keep with him whenever he ventures into the wilderness. We live in the PNW and our family enjoys the outdoors. The pack is more than I expected! Waterproof which is important in this part of Washington, solidly built, and just the right size for a small guy, but will still be adequate as he grows. I have 11 grandchildren who will benefit from my class (whether they like it or not).
