Description
French crusty suspenders but a bit of history too. These were for the French TAP, the Troupes AéroPortées (airborne troops) and held up their webbing equipment. Similar in design to the US M1936 suspenders, these were often utilised by French Foreign Legion paras and during conflicts in Indochina, Algeria and the Suez Crisis. As seen in the images, there is a variety of canvas types and many of these are in a corroded and roughened state. We have two ''types'' to choose from, one having all 6 metal fastening clips and the other having 4 fastening clips.
