Description
Uruguay adopted their flag in 1830. The first flag prior to this had nine blue stripes but due to visibility problems at a distance this was reduced to what we have now. The flag also sports the 'Sun of may' which also represents the Inca religions sun god, Inti.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
