I bought one to see if the price was too good to be true. I was well impressed.
No hood, but my oil skin hat fixes that.

Feels great, can't wait to test it out

Just wish I paid attention to how it was packed in it's packet... maybe a tutorial?

Pleasantly surprised

Given the low cost, I was concerned this might be a bit crap. Glad I was wrong! Fits nicely and will provide no-nonsense rain protection. Far more practical than a poncho. Really like the longer length of this - great for when sitting down, or wearing shorts in the rain. Can't beat the price. Will live in my pack for years to come.

Inexpensive, useful piece of kit

Looking at how expensive packaway jackets and coats are in outdoors shops, $15 for a military surplus packaway coat is a true bargain.

The one I received appeared unused, and made a very satisfying noise as the fabric decompressed after being in storage for so long!

Mine's stashed in my office drawer (along with a rain hat), ready to be pressed into action during an unexpected downpour (Having a built in rain hood would improve functionality, but I knew it didn't have one when buying it).

The sides have covered slits to access to your trouser pockets... just make sure your phone or wallet actually goes into your pockets when you put them back, and not accidently between the coat and your pants, and onto the ground!

It's lightweight and makes a great swishy sound when worn. The colour is neutral enough to blend in with civilian clothes, it's also a suitable colour if you want to play soldiers in the rain.

Perhaps my only other grumble is that the integrated packaway pocket is quite large - larger than needed, so when packed away, it's not super small, so I've rolled it up once packed, and used rubber bands to keep it nice and compact and compressed.

I'm 1.6 m tall, and the Small (92cm) / Short size is perfect for me.
