Description
The current Lebanese flag was adopted just prior to their independence from France in 1943. The white colour represents the snow as a symbol of purity and peace. The red stripes represent the blood spilled to defend their country. The evergreen cedar tree represents a young nation despite its rough past.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
