Description
A genuine French M51 helmet or "steel pot" as it was known. Based on the US M1 helmet from WWII. The M51 was manufactured from the early '50's to the '70's, proving their worth with over 20 years of issuance.
Constructed from solid steel with a canvas chin strap and steel hook. Like the M1, the M51 has a rolled edge, though the visor doesn't extend as far. This French helmet is a must have for a military collection.
