This French military angle head torch is a steeple of quality and versatile design. For infantry use, these torches came in handy as an attachable light source. A multifunction switch allowed for single press and constant light, coupled with spare red and blue filters made this a great piece of gear for signalling friendly units.

For campers, hunters, airsofters and other outdoorsman, this torch makes for a long life companion. The hard plastic material is tough and the ability to make it hands-free is an excellent feature. Keeping this around the house or in your survival kit is a great idea in case of emergency situations.

Awesome light.

Excellent

I purchased 2 of these to add to my small collection of old school military angle head flashlights. I have 3 Vietnam War era m-x991/u lights, and when compared to them these French ones throw a better and seemingly brighter light, sort of a wider hotspot in the middle with better distance, most likely down to the reflectors. I was already very happy with them, but then I bought a drop in led 220 lumen replacement bulb for it (after a long search and a lot of trial and error), and now it’s my go to flashlight. It’s so much brighter now! I use the red filter a lot at night when I’m creeping around the house. It’s great! Saves my eyes having to adjust to the dark again and saves me from a divorce because I’ve had to get up to pee for the seventh time at night and woken up my long suffering wife. I’m definitely going to buy another one (or two).

Great collectable.

This french issue anglehead flashlight is a great little military collectable.

My one shows minor aging in the plastic and slight rust on the belt clip. Still very happy with my purchase. Especially at this price.

If you're after a modern torch in this design, buy the black led torch available on here.

If you are after a genuine piece of issue equipment grab this while you can.

Great for the price

Bought one of these on a whim, and ended up very pleased with it, its pretty sturdy, decently bright, and lightweight until you stick a pair of D-cells in it.

Includes red, blue and white filters, so you can make your own little French flag, or rather - the red is traditionally used in low light, as it causes less loss of night vision, the white filter casts a nice diffused glow, good for lighting a tent or room without blinding you, and the blue is a mystery, perhaps for signaling.
Has rubber seals on all the threads, so water resistant at least.
Even includes a spare bulb, I just noticed from the store page here.

Would be great as a gift for kids, given how rugged and reasonably priced it is, or serve well as an emergency or camping torch.
