Description
The 'ASV Vorwärts' (Army Sports Association Forward) was a sport organization of the East German National Peoples Army. The organization was founded in the 1950's and became a staple of the nations sports elites. These pants are a reproduction of what East German athletes would be working out in from the time behind the iron curtain. After the fall of the Berlin wall and the reunification of Germany, this uniform became very popular with West German teens.
These gym pants have a interesting fit - an elasticated waistband as you would expect, however the legs taper inwards and have zippers to splay the ankles to fit your feet through. To help keep the pants from riding up during exercise, the legs have loops to wear underfoot. A single rear zippered pocket allows for storage of your keys and maybe a small cellphone or wallet. And of course to top it off, that ever Germanic red & yellow strip down the sides!
A zesty reproduction of the popular DDR gym pants. For anyone who likes Cold War aesthetics these pants certainly are a vibe!
