Description
*Note* Colours vary widely between khaki and olive drab. Some versions have extra attachment options but at minimum they will have the D-rings/straps in the photos shown. These will be picked at random
Denmark was occupied by Germany throughout the majority of World War 2. This left a bit of a vacuum/hard restart for Denmark's military after the War had ended. The Danish Equipment Commission and British 'Mills Co' developed a webbing system named ‘Oppakningssystem’ M/45-50. Much of it was based off of the various pieces the Mills Company had made for the British during WW2. An interesting note is the brass/metal snap studs have English markings but you will often find Danish military markings on the canvas.
The canteen covers are pretty basic and exactly what you would expect from the time - dam rugged cotton canvas! Dual snap studs secure the canteen in place. The attachment system will work with British war time kit as well as the Danish system it was intended for. The D-rings and straps are that generic you could likely jimmy something up to attach these to all sorts of packs or belts if you want a vintage look!
