Description
Wolseley pith helmets became the designated sun hat of the British Army in the late 19th century to the mid 20th century. It was described as the "Wolseley pattern cork helmet". The large, swept-back brim provides great protection from sun and rain.
The Wolseley pith helmet is made from the cork, or pith, of trees from northern Vietnam using techniques developed 100 years ago by the French during their occupation. The helmet is functional in both sunny and rainy weather. Adjustments to the size can be made with the interior hook and loop strap and chin strap.
