Description
The M8 scabbard was issued to American soldiers during World War 2 from early 1944. It replaced the earlier leather M6 model. These reproductions have the M8 stamped into the steel and a plastic body. The scabbard attaches to the likes of a M1936 pistol belt via a cotton canvas loop at the top. To secure the knife is a snap dome strap and the inside of the scabbard has metal throat plates to ease insertion/draw.
An essential bit of kit for anyone doing a WW2 US impression whether it be for reenactments, airsoft players or period film productions.
