Description
*Note* Pack tail (diaper) & shovel cover NOT included
The M1928 haversack was if anything an iconic piece of kit associated with the American 'G.I' of World War 2. Truth be told, they are a pretty weird and awkward bit of kit especially when compared to the paratrooper musette bag.
In essence, the haversack can be undone and laid flat. A series of 3 straps fold up the sides while the bottom tucks up under them. You can fold over the top flap which ties in with a strap from the bottom - simple, RIGHT? The top has a detachable mess tin pouch and some grommets underneath where you can attach your trusty shovel pouch (shovel & pouch not included). To complete the haversack, it comes with straps on the rear that clip onto M1923 & M1936 belts to complete your GI webbing.
An essential bit of kit for anyone doing a WW2 USGI impression whether it be for reenactments, airsoft players or period film productions.
