Description

Note* No inserts, plates or extra pouches are included - vest only.

The Interceptor multi-threat Body Armour system (IBA) was the replacement armour system that came out in the 2000s to replace the PASGT system. The core component was these OTV (Outer Tactical Vest) vests. With these you could add all the pouches you could possibly need to sustain combat in the short term as well as attach other protective components such as groin or neck protectors. Eventually these would go on to be replaced by the IOTV (improved outer tactical vest) in the newer OCP Multicam pattern in the 2010's.

These OTV plate carriers are absolutely the pinnacle of the GWOT era being absolutely covered in MOLLE MOLLE MOLLE! If you find yourself riding on top of a armoured column through downtown Baghdad, make sure you chuck on every single imaginable pouch to keep you in the firefight! These vests you can absolutely cover with the MOLLE system. Speaking of which, it is always an option to add on a extra protective elements with room with plates front & back, soft panels and if you can find them - groin & neck protectors. The sides have a lot of adjustment with easy straps you can pull on to tighten. Getting out of these is also super easy - the front has a hook & loop opening you can peel apart in a jiffy (and snap domes if you really want to stay glued shut). All complete in that lovely UCP 'camouflage'....yes!

If you have a keen interest in the US GWOT era of conflicts, love a good bit of 1v1 MW2 or just need to 'tool' up in your rough locale, these OTV vests are ready when you are!

2XL INTERCEPTOR VEST

I have been looking for a UCP/ACU vest and this did not disappoint. I usually wear size 4xl-5xl shirts from ASCOLOR and this fits me very well and I can also tighten it.

I’ve been able to put TRAINING WEIGHT PLATES and it still fits. The vest loses its “composure” even with the plates because there are no SOFT INSERTS to give it that bulky look because SOFT INSERTS are illegal. However I might put foam or create my own soft inserts with sand instead of Kevlar.

Overall 10/10, will need to give it a wash as it does smell a lil (it has instructions on the vest on how to wash it).
