Description
Senegal adopted their flag as they gained independence from 1960. The Senegal tricolour sports pan-African colours and a star in the centre. The star is said to represent the five points of the human figure that was on the Mali Federation's flag.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
