Description
At the end of World War 2 Germany was split between the West and the East. The East became the German Democratic Republic under the Soviet Union. East Germany was quickly allowed to build an Army once more and along with it, all the apparel. These badges were designed specifically to be worn on caps or Ushanka's. They sport the East German hammer and compass symbol surrounded by the German tricolour and wreath.
These genuine surplus badges would make a great collectors piece of the Cold War era.
