Generally they would be used to attach 40 mike pouches on, sidearm mags and the likes, but can attach anything you are willing to put up with!
These drop leg panels are designed to hang off a battle belt (not included) and strap around your thigh. This is done with dual quick release thigh straps and you can adjust the height of how high it is riding. The back has a mesh backing that doubles as a hidden compartment should you need to hide maps or pictures of your sweetheart.
