Description
The MICH (Modular Integrated Communications Helmet) was designed to replace the short comings of the previous PASGT helmet design. Special forces operators were increasingly swapping their heavy PASGT's for lightweight, plastic 'bump' helmets with no ballistic protection. The MICH was designed to alleviate both short comings and become the new frontline helmet, formally rolled out in 2001.
These might not be made of Kevlar, but they certainly imitate the weight fairly well (only roughly 100 grams lighter than the real versions). Even the outer shell has a light texturized surface like the real deal incase you decide to paint one up. The inside has adjustable padding, 4 point chin/neck harness and a quick release strap.
