Description
Although the 3 colour desert pattern was rolled out during the 1990's and slowly phased out in the early 2010's - it has still persisted in US military inventory and use around the world. These mag pouches are a great example - still in brand new, unissued condition!
The pouches are an older design featuring a dual snap dome and hook & loop flap. You can easily run your speed reloads just using the hook & loop panels and still keep your magazines relatively secure, but should you need it, the snap domes are there for extra security. Unlike newer designs, the top flap also fully covers the sides allowing very little in the way of dust to come flying in to your mags - an added bonus when operating in windy, desert conditions. The back has 2 PALS tabs so you can mount it on any MOLLE surface, ideal for tactical vests or belts.
