Description
The German military issued a series of woolen tunics throughout World War 2. Each year would see a new model name - M36, M40 etc all mass produced and more or less taking the same format & functions. Designed for both barracks and field duty they were the mainstay uniform despite their formal looking appearance.
These reproductions do a pretty good job of copying the originals. The one main difference is the build - originals were 100% wool where as these are a 70% build (final years of WW2 saw this change though!). Metal buttons line the front with a metal hook at the top to create a sharp collar. The waist has a series of holes which enables the German webbing belt of the day to be worn through mounted hooks to support its weight & position (hooks not included). Pockets on the chest and waist adorn the front to allow some extra utility in the field.
An essential bit of clothing for anyone doing a WW2 German impression whether it be for reenactments, airsoft players or period film productions.
