For a non kiwi, that basically means these are a bit worse for wear. These ripstop pants are in their twilight years, though a lot of them have light damage as far as our Grade 2 system goes. You might end up with a total score [good one] but these will have some battle damage that limits their function.
Better than beetroot & egg in a burger, the New Zealand DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) trousers in ripstop! Retired in 2013 these are the final iterations before being replaced with the MCU cut and camo. RIP NZDPM.
For some reason the ripstop pants we have are a lot more consistent in cut than the shirts. There may be the rare example in the older cut but ripstop fabric but these trousers have drawstrings around the interior of the waist allow you to get a tight fit while keeping the strings out of the way. Two slash pockets and two cargo pockets give the wearer ample storage. Ankle drawstrings allow a tight fit over your boots to keep out the elements and pesky bugs. Massive 9cm (3.5inch) belt loops are great for a wide range of belts. Add them to your collection, complete a set or give repairing these a go with a little bit of kiwi ingenuity or TLC.
