The French pith helmet is made from the cork, or pith, of trees from northern Vietnam using techniques developed 100 years ago by the French during their occupation. The helmet provides protection from both sunny and rainy weather. A truly iconic helmet and a real head-turner to be seen today!

If mowing under overhanging tree branches or pruning dead wood from an orchard, a pith helmet protects the head with style. These have a velcro adjustment to accommodate every size of head, even my enormous size 63, and enough shade and ventilation to keep things feeling cool as well as looking it. I bought the khaki, which is more casual than the white, but if wearing it to an elephant polo match and post event cocktails you might choose the white.

Hiya, got myself a pith helmet to wear whilst gold panning up the wakamarina, and this one works a treat. added a mozzie net for the dam sandflies and its perfect! well made, fully adjustable, excellant shade to the back of my neck and it floats so should it ever come off I wont loose it to the river gods. its light breezy and everyone wants to try it on...best value hat ive bought for ages. wish id got one sooner.......
