Description

The baby brother to our usual Bergen packs, say ''good evening, chap'' to the 45 litre size. He's from Britain.

These are also from the Army, so this little pack knows how to ruck - a durable construction with plenty of features to aid your treks. A little bird [very kind gentleman] told us these are infamous Karrimor SF built packs, with MOD requirements such as fabrics. Bit nice, bit fancy!

MOLLE to the front and sides allows you to customise your loadout with extra gear or pouches. And if you're one of those lucky ducks with the MTP side pouches, chuck those on for even more storage and compartmentilisation. The nylon construction and sturdy build means you can biff these through all the brambles you want. Handy lid and open side pockets, stowage collars and compression straps are a nice touch on such a heavy duty piece of gear. A wicked, medium sized bit of kit. Grab one if you are lugging about a decent (but not a huge) amount of gear.

Features:

  • Genuine British Army surplus
  • Pocket to lid exterior
  • Padded back area
  • Adjustable shoulder and waist straps
  • Side zips for attaching PLCE pouches
  • MOLLE to front & sides
  • Compression straps to sides, front & bottom
  • Internal snow collar
  • Internal mesh pocket to lid

Dimensions: Approx 50cm H x 35cm W x 25cm D (not including packed top lid)
Volume: Approx 45 Litres
Weight: Approx 2kg

    Great Pack

Fantastic pack. Very similar to the Karrimor SF Predator 45L...made by the same guys (PRI) but a more robust model for the military with less frills and no waist straps. The one I received is in great order. Goes with the PLCE rocket pouches and the molle is useful. Got this one for pest control and lugging gear. MTP matches my kit. Definitely recommend!

    The Underrated Bag

    Background

This bag is almost an exact copy of the Karrimor SF Predator Patrol Pack 45L PLCE (Karrimor SF routinely make kit for UKSF).

Designed and Manufactured under joint contract by K-SF and PRI for UK Military troops deployed to Afghanistan during OP Herrick

    Notable Features

Unlike the legendary British Army DPM NI Patrol Bag, this patrol bag has no hip belt, as its made to rest on issued belt webbing.

Attachment wise, this bag sits squarely between American Molle and British PLCE, allowing you to use either or both at the same time, like some confused Canadian.

UK Surplus DPM\OD\MTP rocket side pouches all work as do "some" of those from Berghaus and all of the Karrimor SF PLCE accessories.

You can insert machete's, hatchets, shovels, basha poles, knives etc in behind the rocket pouches before zipping them up (there are little slash pockets at the bottom to keep them from falling out or holding canteens strapped down with compression straps).

The lid is floating and can be adjusted fairly high allowing you to "topflap" a smaller 10-15L daypack or other kit under the lid very easily.

Ski Pole loops, front and rear drag handles and D-Rings for attaching webbing or kit at the bottom and top of the pack.

Four webbing points at the bottom for running the compression straps through to bottom load your rollmat or tarp.

Two load straps inside the bag next to the foam\plastic back stiffener. Good for strapping a German…

A hot piece of patrol kit!

A very nice patrol pack in MTP that can expand on demand. Mine was in excellent condition with very little sign of use. All buckles and straps functional and very comfortable to wear. I think on its own, it would be sufficient for 2 nights out and with the side pouches, you could possibly extend to 3-4 nights away, in warmer climates.
