Description

*Note* Some have the hood wire removed. May have unit patches on shoulders. Few jackets are older generation and slightly different coloured DPM. These will be picked at random

These are genuine issue British Army DPM Windproof Smocks - the current British replacement camo (MTP) smocks are based directly off these albeit with a few differences.

Two large chest pockets and two front waist pockets which are all buttoned and expandable. There are also two zipped map pockets which open between the zipper and chest pockets. Each map pocket has three dividers for pens/pencils. The cuffs are fully adjustable with hook & loop. The front zipper is full length and covered by a hook & loop flap/baffle to make it completely windproof. The hood is large with an internal loop. There are draw cords at the neck to close the hood, internally at the waist and the base to ensure you can adjust for maximum comfort and protection from the elements.

Features:

  • 6 large pockets and a small pocket on the left arm with a small British flag
  • Made from poly/cotton gabardine material.
  • Zip front with hook & loop storm flap.
  • Two adjustable strings, one for the waist the other at the bottom of the jacket.
  • Draw string hood

Sizing: The first number is the chest circumference, the second number is the recommended height of the wearer. A "Medium (96cm) / 180" will fit a person around 180cm tall with a 96cm chest size.
Content: 50% Polyester / 50% cotton
Colour: British DPM.
Condition: Used/Good -  Item is well used. There may be marks/stains/scratches or repairs, but it is still in functioning order. If you want more information on our condition ratings, check out our condition guide

Best jacket ever!

I wear this jacket every day it’s my main jacket I wear.
It’s very waterproof and dries very quickly and the hood stays on my head when winding.

Awesome Jacket

I bought this jacket with the primary intention of using it for hunting on cooler and slightly wetter days. Fortunately for me, the jacket I got looks to have almost no signs of anyone previously wearing it, except for some lint in the velcro.
I ordered my first one based off previous purchases but it was too big (Large / 180), so I exchanged it for a Medium / 170, which is bang on the money. I’m 174cm (5’7”) with an athletic build. My chest circumference is also bigger than the medium 96cm (mine is 105cm), and there’s plenty of room to spare.
Overall, the jacket is fairly baggy, so you could fit, perhaps, two layers underneath. I hope this info helps with any buying decisions.

DPM windproof smock

Excellent bit of kit in fantastic as new condition. An absolute bargain at the price and worth every cent. You'd be hard pressed grabbing a better smock, let alone something for anywhere near the price especially in the great condition they're in. My one has plenty of years life left in it.

Awesome

Seems to be the older version of the current MTP one, does not have the inner mesh, which doubles as vents when the inner pocket zips are open, no under arm vent zips, no Velcro arm patches.
Still a rugged and seriously good jacket, I use this as an outer layer with a thin down jacket under as a liner
Pockets at the great thing with these jackets, they are exactly the right sizes in exactly the right places
Recommend buying, this is a great value near new jacket.

My favourite jacket!!!

Bought one of these windproof smocks a good while ago and I've most definetly not regretted it. As a jacket it works perfectly fine keeping me from freezing to death on a multitude of occasions and keeping me from becoming completely soaked in unpredictable weather (Not technically waterproof but has kept me dry none the less.) The jacket has enough pockets that I'm constantly loosing things in them by forgetting which pocket I've placed things however, I assume this is a personal issue and not an intended feature. The four torso cargo pockets are particularly spacious and have the big ol' canadian buttons so they should be easily accessible to anyone wearing gloves they also have bellows so you should be able to fit a good amount of weight before they break. Onto the hood whilst advertised with a wired brim mine didn't come with one but after owning an earlier version with one this is fine and to my knowledge I believe many british soldiers removed it so I suppose its a cool bit of history. To finish off the jacket is of course in British DPM which in my opinion is particularly fashionable and works very well in any woodland environments to the point where I've managed to hide from friends simply by laying down next to a bush adjacent the footpath (perhaps this is a testimone to how blind my friends are though) All in all, I think it's safe to say this jacket is my favourite and I can see years of life still left in it. From camping, to day trips to simply travelling to and from school this jacket gets the job done and I'd recommend getting one in a heartbeat.
