Description
A smart casual, thermal jacket - at first you wouldn't expect this jacket to be British Army surplus! On closer inspection, the rank tab gives a hint.
As part of the British military's Personal Clothing System (PCS), these were to be worn in colder regions, layered appropriately. These jackets have light polyester lining for heat retention and has a cosy, cloud-like loft to it. Drawstrings to the neck and bottom hem help keep cold from creeping in too. The nylon exterior provides some water resistance and compliments the light weight specs of the jacket. The interior of the neck is lined with fleece and to the back a hood is stored - great for keeping wind at bay or when a proper rain coat isn't on hand. As these are surplus, some have a few marks around where wear is higher (see last image for an example). For storage these have two zipped hip pockets and a vertical, bigger than you'd expect, chest pocket which with some patience and origami, can be used to store the jacket inside. In a ''light olive'' colour way (somewhere between coyote, khaki and olive), these merge seamlessly into civilian style (while also complimenting MTP camouflage). Grab one while you can and stay toasty.
