Crazy bargain!

What an awesome jacket.
For the money these are just fantastic and are equal to anything you can buy from the outdoor stores - at four-times the price. Buy one, heck, buy two and put the second one away for when the first one wears out!
The seam seals are all in tip-top condition and the PU coating is excellent. The only thing you might want to do is give it a wash to refresh the exterior DWR.

The MVP of waterproofness

Read some online reviews from NZ hunting jackets as I’ve never quite found any to be that great, unless you are paying out some serious money! Which isn’t necessarily a good gauge on waterproofness these days? (Have been through Stoney Creek- Good, Hunters Element-Good, Kaiwaka-Great.) A few mentioned these jackets, with the MVP Moisture Vapour Permeable, being the British equivalent of Gore-Tex. Had my reservations especially for $130? Got to test it out in some Torrential rain of the Auckland Floods 2023 while at work, and I am absolutely converted! It’s a shell, so layers are needed depending on what you’re doing, and it’s not a brushed outer so yes, it will be noisy if hunting/ brushing through tight bush but the water completely beads/ sheets off it. The hood rolls into the collar, which is a very snug fit to zip completely up, so if you wearing a waterproof full brim and not completely zipped collar (especially with a hoodie or thick additional collar underneath, just make sure the brim is large enough to clear the drip zone. And on the hood, it would pay to wear a cap as the hood doesn’t have a lot of adjustment to pull it back up above the eye line. Super light and pack able. Excellent value for money.

Proper rain jacket

I bought this jacket knowing we had rain coming, I didn’t know the river would rise to 14 mtrs though. This jacket works very well, no sweating and no leaking. I bought the second hand Flecktarn rain jacket for the same price- but it leaks- this jacket is superior in that it’s very waterproof

High Quality - Very Impressed

Excellent quality jacket and already worked well in light rain - 4 out of 5.

It has two good sized chest pockets with a funky chest-zip to access to any garments underneath. Although access to the chest pockets might be an issue if you are wearing a back pack too.

The jacket also lacks hip pockets which would have been handy for gloves etc. but as this is military issue they may have been omitted to enable belt webbing to be worn.

A hint on sizing - from the photo and (video) these appear to be waist-length - normally I would have ordered 180cm length but these were sold out so I settled for 190cm - for me this is ideal and length extends to mid-thigh.

Lastly I located a YouTube video where a Russian chap demonstrates the jacket and trousers (SKU: WET1049-E-92) - interesting camouflage effect in light snow...
